I think I've decided on a whim today that I'm going to tear my whole website down and install
Drupal in its place. I've come to the conclusion that I'd rather focus on filling my site with tons of content rather than spending time (or not spending time in this case) on making it look good. Plus, I think that getting some skill with Drupal will help me with a few other projects I'm working on right now.
So bottom line, you might see my whole site go down this weekend and come back up in a very incomplete, experimental state. To the future!

It has recently become clear to me that the way I live my life is kind of unreasonable. I work too hard (at various endeavors) and spend too much time sitting endlessly in front of computers. I'm never really 'free'. I'm not quite sure how to fix it yet, but I realize that if I don't, I'm going to lose my mind. So starting tonight, I'm going to try to shut down and stay off the offline every Tuesday night for the ongoing future. This was WifeAdvice (tm) so it must be good. I will let everyone know how it goes.
So I'm posting this, and going offline. Here goes...

I'm checking to see if I can post to my blog via a Google Document. Well, can I?
Update - that took a little while, but I figured it out. Awesome and useful.

Hey there oft neglected blog. You may notice a few posts below where it looks like I don't know English very well. I was trying out
Jott - a voice blogging, twittering, note taking service. Sounds cool, until you realize it doesn't really work for a couple of reasons:
1.) You can only speak for 30 seconds.
2.) It doesn't learn your voice and thus consistently transcribes posts wrong.
On top of that, I heard that this service is driven by coal shoveling behind the scenes and they actually outsource some amount of transcription to be done by humans. Seriously.
Great concept, just not ready for prime time yet.
